Bluetooh tethering from Droid to Xoom no longer works

Sorry, if this has been posted before, but I do not see the same issue.
For months, the Xoom and Droid were able to be tethered and use internet access from the phone (albeit, it was sometimes very slow). All of a sudden, it no longer works.

I have configured my Motrola Xoom to tether to my Original Droid to share the Droid's internet.

On my Droid, I use the "wireless tether " app. On the Xoom, I enable airplane mode, blue tooth and in the settings, It shows that the devices are paired and I can click on the wrench icon to allow internet sharing.

Both devices show that they are connected.

On the phone (in wireless tether), it shows a few kbs uploaded and maybe 1 downloaded and then, nothing else. It fails to access email or the web.
Any ideas?

I have had the same issue, got it to work and then a few days later no internet connection.

Try restarting your Xoom and putting it in airplane mode before connecting over Bluetooth. Another poster did significant testing and found you had to restart the Xoom each time. The thread is around somewhere...

Thanks but that doesn't seem to help. I've tried it a few times. A sample download on my phone reads "0.9kb" and upload "258kb", but nothing else happens.

For tethering, is the # shown for downloading on the phone the same as the download for the Xoom? I.e. It's not uploading to the Xoom, right?

Why us the Wireless Tehter app? Totally uneeded. I am BT tethered now with a DX2. Ensure phone is on 3g and all internet connections on Xoom are disabled. Turn on Bt on both devices and make phone "discoverable". Search for phone on xoom and pair. Then connect.

You may need to delete the Bt profile for each device then do it again. All this is done WITHOUT a tethering app. If you have a tethering app why not use the wifi tether as the speeds are better?

Since I don't have an OG Droid I could be talking out my a$$, but that's how ive done it on several Moto phones.

I was never able to get Bluetooth tether to work with my og Droid. I am successful with the bionic, but must reboot the xoom every time to get the data connection to make.
