ok, did a search but most are coming up with bugs either in the quality or dropping devices...

I have a Nexus, bluetooth WAS WORKING fine, just got the OTA and it wont turn on at all... Not a quality issue or loosing a device, the BT flat wont turn on.
The threads I found said theirs would turn on right after a reboot.. not here, batt pull either.. As soon as its up, BT will not come on...

I know its not hardware as the BT was working up to the moment the OTA happened...

Anyone have any suggestions other than the 'reboot' to turn it on (since that doesn't work :)

Before the OTA it was on the previous official ROM (4.1.x)

Hmmm... how do I do that when the Bluetooth page is blank and saying to 'turn on to see devices'?
Is there a backdoor way to remove paired equipment without being able to turn that page on?
I'll check again when I get off work (work in a secure building and we cant bring the phones in, so dont have it with me right now...)

This is the first time I've had problems with BT on Android... used to have it tall the time years ago when I had a BB Storm :/

Thanks!

You turn on BT in the BT page. It has your device in memory and should show it. Select the settings icon to the right and select unpair. Then you re-pair it and it should work. It did for me.

Thats just it, I cant turn it on the on the BT page... as soon as you hit to toggle on the page it flashes and goes right back to off....
BT wont power up and I cant find a way to unpair to try that unless it powers up to show you the devices screen.

I would do factory reset and wipe the phone. Sounds like something did not apply well.

Not happy.....
did the factory data reset/wipe... STILL bluetooth turns immediately off when you toggle it on... all it did was loose all my settings.... and still cant use BT...

Well, as I already knew, it was software not hardware..

Bit the bullet and did another wip and installed the 10.0.0 CM rom (using Goo Manager, really easy)

Phone is trying to restore apps right now, then I can try restoring my Titanium backup (hoping it didnt loose data...)

But immediately tested the BT power, and it turned right on... Seems like the cell strength meter is reading higher too...

Will miss a few of the new things in the 4.2, but I needed BT to work, and all VZW would say is 'wipe the phone and reinstall'... did that twice, no help, NOT going to keep doing it.... Hopefully CM rom has some good features to make it worth loosing the 4.2.....

If you have root, I fixed mine with:

Solved Bluetooth issue of 4.2.1 OTA | Galaxy Nexus > XDA

It's a permissions problem.

Yep, have root..
ALready put on CM tho... Might change back and try that.. still debating...
CM seems faster on the phone, with some nice customizations, plus it looks like it 'unbroke' the wifi tether (maybe) that was broken by the factory rom...
Goo Manager seems to be having issues with updates tho... shows that there is a ROM update, gets to the end of the download ans stalls... done it twice now, his time its been hung for 3x the time the rest of the download took...
