Trying to figure out how to remove the few banner ads on my app screen. Screen shot attached. I assume these are on here because of some apps installed? I just got this yesterday around noon and copied over stuff from my previous phone(s25 ultra) that didn't have these ads. Now, I did just do an update but can't imagine the update out ads in the app drawer.

Figured it out. I use Nova Launcher but didn't use the prime version (no ads). Updated it to Prime and the annoying banner ads all went away.

Immediately when I saw this I was like the launcher you're using has ads lol. Glad you were able to figure it out. That would super annoy me.

I use Nova also. Saw that and immediately upgraded to nova prime.

Yes, since Nova Launcher was sold to Instabridge, the new owners decided to include ads for the free version.
But you can use adguard (Ad Blocker) as your Private DNS Provider and get rid of those ads. It's free.

Simply go to:
Settings ≻
Connections ≻
More Connections Settings ≻
Private DNS ≻
Private DNS Hostname ≻
Type: dns.adguard.com ≻
Then Press The Save Button .

Or, you can just not use Nova and use a great alternative called OctoPi Launcher.

I stopped using Nova when they were sold the first time because the company that bought them had a bad rep of just being a data collector and seller. The new company isn't much better and they are not innovating anymore and just filling it with slop, so I went looking for something else.

OctoPi looks interesting -- what are the limitations of the free version, and can you do a one-time payment for premium, or is it a subscription model?

I never updated after the Bridge sale apart from a couple of update mistakes I made on the Store which were very speedily deleted.

Got the last Bridge APK (v8.1.3) from APKMirror so no dramas. I've been a Prime user for over 13 years and can't see me changing until it breaks.

Most of the limitations of the Free version is around Widgets and some of the UI Look and Feel tweaks.

No subscription, just a one-time payment and done.

I was an early user, so I have been on it for a while now and the pace of the updates is great. He really takes feedback to heart and is working hard on features.
I bought the Pro version within 24 hours of install. If you go to the r/OctopiLauncher subreddit, you can see how much action there has been on it and also links to features, roadmaps and github repo.
