Bluetooth audio drops whenever WiFi signal stops or stutters; phone says the headset still connected

My phone (Moto Z) just started to drop my Bluetooth audio whenever I lose a WiFi signal (either I'm moving, I turn off the WiFi on my phone, or the WiFi is spotty), and it starts to play its own speaker. I tested on both my Plantronics driving earpiece and my Sennheiser headphones, the result is the same. I did try to restart my phone, both with the Bluetooth system on and off. This is a recent occurance, it didn't happen before on this phone.
Any ideas for a cause and a solution? Thanks!

Same thing started happening to me this past week on my samsung galaxy s9+ for 2 of my cars. Annoying!

I found the answer in another thread. Try uninstalling the iHeart Radio App. This is not phone or OS specific.
