Can anyone comment on the quality of music via bluetooth headphones? All reviews refer only to enhanced audio via the headphone jack.

I have actually gotten some pretty bad Bluetooth audio quality from the v10. I just bought some Jaybird x2's on black friday, and when connected to the phone there is this annoying static in the background when listening to music. When I connect the headphones to my Surface Pro 3, or my old Moto x (1st gen), the quality is great. I am pretty sure that it is the phone, and not the headphones.

I will be able to update this by Thursday. I have a pair of Samsung Level U's that I have used with a Note 4 and a Nexus 6. I will put them on the LG V10 when I get it, so I should have a good base to go by

I haven't used bluetooth headphones, but I do use a bluetooth speaker at home. The bluetooth speaker sounded great, I thought. I didn't have any static or other issues. I tested out the range, and though I have a smaller house, I didn't lose connection with the speaker from any room in my house even when there were walls separating the phone from the speaker. Obviously, bluetooth sound versus wired sound is not going to be competitive, and I'm pretty sure that goes for any bluetooth source.

I have a earin and a sony mdr10rbt studio monitor bluetooth so far its been good not as clean as on 32bit hi-fi but minimal static on my sony maybe I turn off the mic on the settings, on my earin lesser static maybe cuz it has no mic. If you are like me coming from note 4 with the annoying skip when you turn off the screen while you are listening to music this is much better.

This is true but Bluetooth quality varies greatly by phone. My note 5 is excellent as are HTC devices. My nexus 5 was too quiet.

I have hooked it up to my 300's infotainment system, Uconnect.

It has a much better Bluetooth signal than my Nexus 6. With the Nexus I would have to keep the phone right by the head unit. If I kept the Nexus in my pocket the Audio would intermittently cut out.

With the V10 it stayed in my pocket and worked fine.

However there was some weirdness with playing or pausing Audio. I have it connected to the car and my Moto 360 playing Sirius XM via the Sirius app. Sometimes the Play or Pause icon would be out of sync on one of the 3 items. For example it would be playing Audio but the head unit would show it as paused.

My experience has been it can vary greatly from connection to connection. This goes with every phone I've ever used it on. I might connect in my car today and get a great feed, and tomorrow not so good. If I reset and reconnect, all good again. Bluetooth as a tech is rather buggy. Also, Lollipop seems to have some bluetooth bugs. I will say this for the V10 bluetooth however, it's strong. I can travel almost twice as far from a receiving device with my V10 than I could with my Droid Turbo.

I'll add one more note......some audio devices seem to never get a bad connection.....my higher end headphones, my wifes car...never a problem. My car, my ****ty headphones for running....more likely to have a poor connection on occasion.

According to LG's description of the advanced audio features, they are only available via wired headphones, not bluetooth. You still get (what I feel) is very good bluetooth audio, just not as good as with wired headphones.

I use three different devices via Bluetooth - Jaybirds, Bose Wave w/ BT adapter, and a Panasonic bookshelf system. I seem to have more trouble making the connection to the Bose than I did with my Note 3; sometimes it can take a few attempts before music will actually pipe through. Once in a while, the connection is a little choppy. But the Jaybirds & Panasonic give me no trouble.

On all three of them, I think the audio quality seems a little better than on my Note 3 - at least with higher-bitrate sources like FLAC and Tidal.

I have intermittent problems with some static and the music cutting out with my Kinovo bluetooth car adapter kit. This usually happens when I haven't rebooted my phone in a few days. A reboot will solve any bluetooth issues. I've had this issue with prior phones, I think the first gen Moto X. Otherwise, with Aptx, my v10 gives much better audio quality than my Idol 3 did.
Hope that helps.

In the Contrary to most, I've actually gotten better Bluetooth audio quality than I do out of a Samsung. Even an iPhone. So I'm very happy with the v10

Bluetooth is only works fine with call or either you are trying to switch for Audio listening that is probably not standard.

I came from Samsung most recently too. I'm not a great judge of audio quality, but I didn't have static issues w/ either my Sammy or the V10. However, I did notice the V10 has significantly better range of operation than Sammy.

Using my Samsung Level U wireless headphones today, so far only Howard Stern, so I can't comment on music quality yet. However there has been not static or issues.

Update on my Bluetooth problem:

So I tested my friends LG Tone Pro Bluetooth headphones on my v10, and they sounded excellent. I have done a full factory reset, and am still getting the static. What the hell is going on here?

I have a pair of lg tone infinims as well as car Bluetooth. Seems that whenever I listen to music through either one my connection is extremely choppy. Reminds me of and old cd player. My g4 was great I had 0 issues but the v10 seems to mess up everytime. When I turn Bluetooth off and just use the built in speaker it works great. Hoping anyone knows of a fix?

OK, I've noticed that if I use the stock music player, playing music over Bluetooth has no distortion. When I use Spotify, or Google Play music, the quality goes to ****.

I am not saying you don't have an issue, but it is not my experience. I only listen to music via Google Play and it always sounds great
