Did not have this problem before, updated to 7.1.2 a few days ago, and now all of a sudden, bluetooth is # 2 on list of battery users.

Anyone else notice this and is there a fix?

I haven't noticed any issues with the Bluetooth using more battery than normal. If I notice anything, I will be sure to check in.

Bluetooth is number 5 on my list. I listened to a couple of hours of music this morning. Not enough to notice more of a battery drain on my phone than normal.

On 7.1.2

Overnight battery drain is gone. Bluetooth connection (to car when I get in) has gone wonky again. Doesn't always connect. It wouldn't always connect, the last update it always did connect, now with 7.1.2 it doesn't always connect.

I am also seeing this issue on 7.1.2
Battery life is worse for me. I even tried a factory reset and same problem.
Even happening with Pure Nexus rom thats on 7.1.2
Oh Google, release one good update.

i use Bluetooth 40 min everyday in my car(drive to and from home to work)
and my bluetooth usage is at the bottom of the battery usage at about 1%

This crap is still happening, only way around this is to keep bluetooth off.

Turn on Bluetooth and wait a minute or two.

Now, go to Settings -> Bluetooth and see if there are any "connected" devices.

I use Bluetooth earbuds 90 minutes each day plus another 60-70 minutes in the car with Bluetooth connected and Bluetooth never shows up on my battery usage graph at all.

I posted an update on the Google product forums about this issue and wanted to share here as well. After June security update plus uninstalling an app (a blood glucose testing companion app that reads from a paired glucose testing machine), this problem went away for me. BT no longer shows up on battery usage and battery life is back to normal.

When my Galaxy S7 Edge updated to Android 7.0 everything was well and I can listen to hours through my bluetooth speaker, sync my fit bit connect to my car, and just leave bluetooth on all the time and it never shows up on the list of battery users.

BUT -- when myGalaxy Tab S2 (internet onlt) which had behaved exactly the same way updated to android 7.0 it started draining the battery. Bluetooth was showing up on the list first by mega percentages, 2-3 Times the amount of the display which had previously been the big user.

So I started diddling around with suggestions from the web. Nothing made any difference. I even did a backup and factory reset and restore. Did not make any difference. I then did a factory reset with out the restore. Did not download any non included apps except Yahoo Mail and Play Newsstand. Did not change any of the default settings on the apps. Turned bluetooth on. No devices were connected. It immediately became the number 1 battery user. I turned bluetooth off and it continued to drain the battery even off.

It did not stop appearing top on the list until I charged the battery to 100% again. Since I have kept the bluetooth off. The battery stats have returned to normal with display as the main user and battery life normal. This is making me crazy.

I have been having serious battery drain since the update. Very frustrated. Currently bluetooth is the 4th on my list. I now find myself having to carry around a charger everywhere, which is unacceptable.

I just jumped back into the Pixel XL waters last week because of the reduced price at Verizon, but several days in and the battery life is pretty poor, especially from what I remember, having used one for a couple months last year. This will be going back if there isn't an update by next week that changes the battery life. Very disappointing.
