Android Central Question

When i get a call or try to call out via my cars stereo, the call will only go through my phone, not the bluetooth connection. I try to select "calls" in the stereos bluetooth settings on my phone but it deselects shortly after. I've unpaired and paired multiple times from both the car and phone. I've deleted my network settings and all that did was delete all my known Bluetooth pairs and wifi connections. So it's still not fixed. Samsung have been pretty useless with this issue too.

What device do you have?

What vehicle do you have, if this is a stock head unit?

What head unit do you have, if it's not stock to the vehicle?

Have you checked any of the head unit specs, forums or reviews to see if it makes calls, if other users are complaining that it doesn't make calls or if there are workarounds to get it to make calls?

There is definitely a push for more handsfree usage in vehicles, as safety concerns rise over phone use while driving. This however does not equate to every manufacturer making such concessions. My guess is that it is disconnecting because it doesn't have a mic and therefore your device doesn't recognize it as a suitable device for the option of handsfree calling. I may be wrong but we'll have to wait for your answers to the above mentioned questions.
