Bluetooth connecting to too many devices on its own.

Just upgraded to Pie on my Pixel XL2. Everything is working great except for Bluetooth pairing.

When I was on Oreo and was using my BT headset, if I got into my truck, the phone would not connect with the stereo (JVC). If I got into my truck with the BT headset off then it would connect to the stereo. That was perfect.

With Pie if I am using my BT headset the phone will now automatically connect to the stereo and my call gets messed up.

Is this a bug or a feature? If it's a feature how do I disable this without having to manually pair and de-pair all the time?

Hit the gear next to the JVC ans turn off Phone. Hit the gear next to the headset and turn off Media.

It has been happening on Pixel phones since Jan'18 (yes, more than a year now) and no fix out there. I dont see any feature in it, other than being endlessly annoying. Just posted another request for help on this. Tried different BT prioritization apps, but they fail (Pixel logic always overrides). Have been writing calling to Pixel helpdesk to fix it, every quarter since Jan'18, no luck.

Report it in feedback (in Settings) - that gets to the software area of Google directly.
