Hello all,
I was wondering how I can get my Pixel 7 to behave like my old Pixel 2XL when it comes to connecting to bluetooth devices.
So firstly I always keep my phone on vibrate, rarely ever changing the ringer volume, and I want to keep it that way. Because as soon as I change the volume, I'll forget that I do it, then my phone could ring when I don't want it to.
How my old P2 operated was, whenever a bluetooth device connected, like my car, or headphones, the ringer volume automatically changed from vibrate to volume up, but it would ring thru the device speakers. And as soon as I disconnected/turn off the device, the phone would auto revert to vibrate. I never had touch the volume buttons. Super convenient, and didn't have to worry about leaving my phone on ring.
Now my new P7 is way off. It stays on vibrate when any device connects, not the end of the world, But the worst thing is if I do change the ringer volume, while connected, to ring, then when I get a call, the phone itself rings, not thru the bluetooth speakers. And the hang up sound goes out the phone, and not thru the speaker. I'll miss calls while driving because the phones on vibrate, and doesn't stop the music playing from my phone thru my car speakers.
What settings do I have to change on my Pixel 7? I don't remember ever changing any settings on my Pixel 2, to do this, I think it operated properly from the start.

No one else has this problem?
At the minimum, my phone doesn't ring through the Bluetooth device it is connected to. It will only ring through the phone speakers.
That's not how it should be.

Welcome to AC!

So for the Bluetooth device in the menu of Bluetooth is the toggle on for answer calls? You have to tap the gear icon besides your device in the Bluetooth settings

Yes, the settings are correct. Whether it is my car, wireless headphones with mic, or just a Bluetooth speaker, all settings are correct for the appropriate device.
I can make and receive calls from Bluetooth devices fine, that's not the problem. The problem is the ringer. My phone only rings thru it's speakers, never thru the Bluetooth speakers.

You can try unpairing the Devices then pair them back up and see if some type of glitch gets corrected

Literally the first thing I tried, and tried again. I've also tried a couple Bluetooth device volume control apps, like the one by darken. They haven't done anything.
