I have a samsung s4, and use the poweramp app to play music, which I listen to on my sennheiser mm100 Bluetooth headphones, and have been doing so for months without issue.
Yesterday I started having an issue with the connection. I am connected to the headphones, and listening to music, and I go to unlock the phone. The audio connection instantly drops from the headphones, and starts to play from the speakers of my phone. There is still a Bluetooth connection, as I can play/pause the music using the buttons on the headphones. Restarting the Bluetooth connection makes the music play through the headphones again.
This seems to be a sporadic problem, it happened every time I unlocked it for a few hours yesterday, and an hour ago it repeated the problem. I am now trying to replicate the issue, but it currently works ok.
As far as I'm aware, I did not update any apps, drop the phone or headphones, get anything wet, install any shady software etc. Is this likely to be a problem with the phone, headphones or software? If I could repeat the problem I would try to substitute different hardware/software in the chain to see what's broken. When it next plays up I will definitely try that and update.
Any help is much appreciated.
Edit: I checked the Play app log, and the poweramp app auto updated just before I started having issues. That might be the culprite? I will try a different app next time I'm having the issue and update.
