Android Central Question

Hi I'm trying to connect my Anker bluetooth speaker to my Mate 10Pro. However, when I click on the speaker in my Bluetooth list of devices, a message pops up saying "make sure the device is in discoverable mode" The device is in discoverable mode (blinking blue light), and connects to other devices.
I can't even delete the speaker from the list, as when I touch it in the list, the message just pops up. I've cleared bluetooth cache, restarted phone etc. but no luck. I'm guessing a factory reset is the only option?
Any advice?
Thanks

Welcome to Android Central! What if you long-press the device in the Settings>Bluetooth menu -- can you Forget it then?

Have you tried turning the speaker off, turning it back on (it won't be in discovery mode) then putting it into discovery mode and trying to pair it?

Is the speaker currently connected to another nearby device? Competition from another device might cause problems with connecting to yours.
