Bluetooth Drain

Not sure why but on my phone it keeps telling me something about spam when I try to attach pics now. Here's what I was trying to show you. It's the best I've gotten yet but I was on 2% . I'll try and do the factory reset tonight. How long should I wait until I put apps back on? Two days? Should I not even sync my watch and bluetooth earphones up yet?

This is my current brightness. Also what is that plus symbol on your notifications? Is that the Samsung app? If so I'd get rid of it.. If i remember correctly that is a battery drain... If thats what i think it is, i noticed it would be running all the time, even when i never used it

Yes it was the Samsung+ app that comes with the phone. Here's what I have on my notifications, any idea what that sync one is... verizon people had no clue what it was and I didn't find anything googling. I just assumed it was google photos, contacts and calendar always syncing radio button. I see you don't even both with the power saving. I also included my background. It's the note 8 motion one that moves as you move your phone. Lastly I included a pic of my wife's note 8 SOT which is just ridiculous to me( she also has motion wallpaper, watch bluetooth'd, themes, AOD pretty much nothing to saver battery.

Not sure if it matters i also used the disabler app to disable the Samsung weather.. Since i can just use bixby and ask about the weather.. Didnt feel i needed the weather running 24-7..not sure if that makes a big difference

Sync i assume is just for the Google accounts and samsung cloud stuff... Which in settings and samsung cloud i disabled stuff that i dont need backed up

I've always went with waiting a while before updating because updates have been known to make things worse.

Ah didn't know that it was only major updates. I'm backing everything up on my phone now and than I'm going to Factory reset. Am I safe to at least install my watch and headphones or don't even put those on it? How long should I leave nothing installed for? I'm going to put a black background and turn AOD off as well for the test. I hate factory resetting but hopefully this will shed some light. I currently have 37 apps installed.

Hmmm 65% left at 3hrs 12min SOT. Only apps that I loaded was my must haves :hangouts,uber driver, lyft driver,planet fitness, fitness and body building. I deleted any and all pre loaded apps they allowed me to. AOD off and a Black background.

So I'm at 45% with a little.over 5hts SOT. So far your wisdom has gotten me where I'm at, so what's your thoughts now as far as putting everything back on the phone? Again this was with all the things I mentioned of no Bluetooth the black background no AOD etc.

Also the pictures attached ... my wife charged her phone today for 10 minutes before going out, as of right now this is where she stands it actually pisses me off a little bit .

I like Sakaitech's videos but he does say one thing in this video that is not correct. Disabling "NFC and payment" does NOT prevent you from using Samsung Pay. Samsung Pay does not use NFC. I have had this option turned off on all of my Samsung phones and always use Samsung Pay.

Samsung Pay uses MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission) not NFC.

Android Pay uses NFC.

So what do you suggest as far as adding apps per day? 2 at a time, 3,4 ?
