Bluetooth Handfree + AUX use

I was curious if someone knows of an app or setting that will let me choose the priority of audio output.

My problem: My car has handsfree and AUX. My phone is paired to my car and uses the AUX for music. The phone rings and I answer through the steering controls, but the phone insists to continue using the headphones/AUX.

Basically I need to set the audio priority to Bluetooth through the phone application. I can see that the Bluetooth button is lit, but the phones still uses the headphone jack for audio.

Any ideas?

Darn, I thought that problem was limited to my Tilt 2, and more specifically Windows Mobile 6.5. Part of the reason I wanted my new Android phone, that I just got last night, was to get away from my Bluetooth/media player woes.

I have not yet tested this on my car's system with the new phone, but now I do not just assume it will work like I had been. I will post back if I can get it to go, but also interested in previous experience.

Visions of Car Mode are starting to fade...

This worked for me when I tried it out on my new Fascinate. Paired to the hands free built-in to the car, plugged in to AUX with music playing via the Music Player. Was able to answer the phone correctly using steering wheel controls(unlike my Tilt 2), and the music faded back in nicely (not sure if it was the phone or the car doing the fade effect). I could not tell if the music was paused during that time, or if the output was just ignored.

I had assumed it was Windows Mobile that was messing me up before, but the Tilt is an HTC handset that I also had somewhat serious bluetooth signal issues with (three different handsets, it was the chip/setup on the handset).

Just to make certain, have you tried more than one audio player during this test? I wonder if it is possible that not all audio programs know how to switch properly, or if the phone cannot control all audio programs equally?

Good luck.

I wouldn't suspect that it is the audio program, rather than the dialer. I will give it a try.
