Bluetooth headset--driving (car) mode

Hello.....I have been able to pair my Plantronics M165 bluetooth headset (goes in the ear) to my S9 Plus phone. When I get into my car I turn on the bluetooth on my phone and turn on my bluetooth headset and I am connected.

1. I would like to be able to make and phone call from my bluetooth headset.

2. I would like to send a quick text message from my bluetooth headset.

Now the heck do I get my S9 Plus phone to do that? On my S5 phone there was something called driving mode or car mode setting that I was able to turn on. My S5 would then show a screen with the icons of.....phone.....messages....music and one other that I can't remember what it was. When a phone call came in I was able to see who was calling on my phone and had the option to answer it or ignore it thru my bluetooth headset. When I wanted to make a call I said "OK Galaxy" and my phone would ask me what I wanted to do. I would say....call my boyfriend (name withheld)....my phone would then say my boyfriends name and ask some question that I can't remember right now.....I would say yes and then my S5 would proceed to call my boyfriend.

So how do I get my S9+ to do that?

Now this morning as I was driving my phone did ring and my bluetooth headset asked me if I wanted to answer the call or ignore it. I was able to get a quick glance on my phone's screen and saw it was telemarketer call....so I said ignore. At least that part is working.

I have explained everything as well as I could and would appreciate any help. Maybe I need to download an app from the Google Play Store. Not sure what I need to do. Thank you!

In the Galaxy App store there is a "Car Mode" by Samsung.

Or in the Play Store you can find "Android Auto".

If you are on AT&T, they have a DriveMode app.
