smartphone rings also by connected in car

Hi

I had a xiaomi redme note pro 14 5g.
My phone is connected with bluetooth whit my car peugeot 2008.
When i recived a in comming call first my phone begin to play the ringtone and afther a few secounds i hear a the ringtone through the car's speakers.
How can i make that i only hear it by the car speakers and not also on the phone.?

My previous smartphone nokia 5.4 didn't have this problem. I'm only hear a ringtone true through the speakers of the car

Does it only initially ring once by the phone, and otherwise by the car speakers after it starts to ring by the car speakers? Or, does it continue to ring by both the phone and the car speakers?

There is a "ringtone sync" setting under Bluetooth advance settings, something to do with the phone's ringtone for calls on connected Bluetooth devices. However, I'm not sure if that setting will help you.

In the Bluetooth settings find your vehicle tap the gear icon and turn off calls and possible audio and it should stay on the phone , if this works you probably check these settings again when going to your car later as it might default back on .
