My 2008 Acura TL has bluetooth audio for calls. Generally, I have to route music from my phone to the car through an auxiliary cable. For those of you with this same set up, you have probably experienced that the S3 won't allow this because if you're listening to music thru the aux cables and a call comes in, you have to unplug the aux cable to take the call. And replug after the call to continue listening to music.
So, to get around this, I bought a bluetooth headset (Samsung HS3000) so that I could plug the aux cable into it and stream music to the car wirelessly.
Here's the scenario: the phone connects to the car just fine. When I want to listen to music, I turn on the bluetooth headset (BH) and it connects quickly and strongly; this is great. However, once the BH connects, the phone starts to disconnect and reconnect to the car repeatedly until if finally just disconnects altogether.
I've found that I can get the car to connect and remain connected if I go into the bluetooth settings, reconnect the bluetooth, disconnect the bluetooth, and reconnect the bluetooth again. Obviously, this is not an ideal set up. I tried connecting my iPhone to the car and the BH the same way as I described above (connected to the car for calls and the BH for music), and everything worked just fine, there was no need for the reconnecting and disconnecting process.
That was a lot to explain just to ask if there is something I can do to the bluetooth devices or the phone to keep the BH from interfering with the car's bluetooth connection?
