I've got a Pixel and two Plantronics headsets, an M155 and a Voyager Pro. I'll pair one or the other and it will seem fine, then when I make or receive a call I'll get the ring sound through the headset but it will drop back to the phone withing a few seconds of the call being answered. I can switch back to the headset in the control panel, but it will again drop to the phone in 5-10 seconds.

Both headsets worked fine with the Samsung Galaxy S5 I updated from.

I've unpaired and re-paired and I've rebooted the phone yet the problem persists.

Any suggestions short of a factory reset or asking Google to warranty the phone?

I would definitely contact Google.

I'm using my Jawbone Bluetooth headset that I originally bought to use with my Galaxy S5. It has worked great with my Pixel XL for four months now, no disconnects, no dropped calls or any other unacceptable behavior.

I use a plaintronics pro for calls and connected to my car for media at the same time with no issues. I would def suggest contacting Google.
