Android Central Question

Updated to 10 yesterday (9/3/19) and now my Bluetooth is no longer functioning properly. It connects automatically to my car but won't connect to the call. It looks normal on the phone and the dash display. It sounds normal to the caller but it's silent in the car (doesn't ring, no disconnect beep, etc). Happens with incoming and outgoing calls. Any suggestions???

mustang7757 suggested a reboot not a reset. However, it is more likely your car cannot handle the update Blue Tooth, so the car needs to be flashed

That's not plausible. I have the same issue. The phone and car were working previously, so the hardware is compatible and there is no need to update the car firmware - it's just a bug in the Android update (which should always be backwards compatible for Bluetooth). Have you tried forgetting your Bluetooth connection and re-pairing?

Well, that's how it is. In the past I had to purchase updated ULF modules for my BMW because my phone could connect as it was running a higher BT version. It is possible this is the case with the OP but we don't know the age of the vehicle or not. Whether you think it plausible or to doesn't change the fact that updated versions of BT can and do create connection problems.

Been there, read the book and got the T-Shirt. There are loads of posts on the internet about similar situations as those I have described.

Bluetooth version comes from hardware, not software. Software can support different versions of Bluetooth hardware, but the standards are designed for backwards compatiblty. To the extent that it's not working that's a bug, that they will fix. I advise patience and trying the simple things first. A future update can resolve the issue. The good news is that Google fixes Android bugs far, far more often then automobile manufacturers. The bad news is that depending on your phone the specific Bluetooth code for your phone may come from your phone manufacturer, not Google, and they often fix bugs less aggressively.
