Bluetooth Names Backwards

Can anyone tell me why I have to use last name first when using my Bluetooth in my vehicle? It took me a while to figure out, I thought the bluetooth was not working in the car for my contacts. I was dialing the numbers aloud for a while until I used a contact with a single name entry. So for fun i used last nmae first the first name and KABOOM it worked. Do you know how to reverse it to First name First? BTW my car is a 2011 Sonata....
