Bluetooth not responding

It seems that whenever my phones screen shuts off I can no longer initiate calls from my bluetooth devices. It's also slow to ring through the BT on incoming calls when the screen has shutdown. The only way around this I've found is to turn off the auto display lock. That will use battery fast so please tell me I'm missing something.

What do you have the Battery power profile set on, if you set as Maximum Battery, I notice this option some time allows device to go into a deeper sleep state... Also this can effect the bluetooth and wifi... Try detting to Performance setting and see if it helps.
