Bluetooth plays music through ohone and not connected device

[Android Central Question]

I've tried a multitude of devices (car, speaker, earbuds, computer) and everytime I connect to a device it plays music through the phone speakers instead of whatever I'm connected to.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Go to Settings>Bluetooth, select the connected device, and make sure Media Audio is turned on.
