Bluetooth Spen functionality problem

Hello

I have the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ and I use the bluetooth Spen for watching media like Prime and Hotstar. One of the things I love about the Spen is its ability to function as a remote control adjusting the volume, rewinding and fastforwarding videos and going to previous or next screens with simple functions.

But here is a problem. Ever since I updated to the One UI 8, the Bluetooth Spen doesn't seem to do the fast forward and rewind functionality when I slide the pen left for rewinding or right for fast forwarding.

It still does the other functions right like raising the volume levels up or down, and going back to previous screen or the home screen with the correct gestures.

The only time where the previous or next video somewhat works on is in youtube but it doesn't do the rewind or fastforwarding in that app.

Netflix is weird because it does go to the next video but doesn't go to the previous one or does fast forwarding. Still works for volume control.

I was wondering if anyone has the S10+ tab if they can confirm that they too are facing this problem with the latest One UI 8.0

I wonder if this is just an update bug. Try clearing your partition cache.

These are the steps to do this.
To clear the cache partition on your Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+, turn off the tablet, then press and hold the Volume Up and Bixby/Power buttons simultaneously until the recovery menu appears. Use the volume buttons to navigate to "Wipe cache partition," select it with the power button, and confirm by selecting "Yes". Finally, select "Reboot system now" to restart your tablet.

I tried this already but the error persists.

I sent the log file to samsung members as well as a clip demonstrating the spen functionality error.

I'm honestly surprised that no one yet has found this to be a problem...

Any magnetic case?
Try using the tablet without the keyboard to see if the Spen responds

No. The only case is the one that is from that of samsung and that's the one that holds the Spen.

I anyway took both it and the keyboard out and the error persists. There is no change in the behavior.

If you happen to have the Tab S10+ or Ultra it would be appreciated if you can see the issue at hand with the latest firmware update of one ui 8.

You can try safe mode if it works properly but it disables 3rd party apps.

Other than that you can contact Samsung support or try buying a new Spen to see if that solves it , never had a Spen go bad but you never know.

I'll try safe mode.

Not a fan of getting another bluetooth spen considering that this one is working fine. Just that it's a bug more or less.

So I tried safe mode and it doesn't work.

I find it weird that youtube is the only app that works with all the functions of the Spen. The other apps are a hit and miss.

Oh well I guess I have to wait for the next update from Samsung...

I still don't think that its the issue with the Spen itself because it otherwise would not work in most other functions as well as on Samsung's main apps.

And you double check the Bluetooth gestures settings are correct?
