Is it possible to play music or internet audio via a jawbone bluetooth? My phone its rooted....any help is appreciated!

As long as your headset is A2DP compatible, then you can listen to it via Bluetooth. Earlier models no and later models yep. A visit to their website may help out.

thank you for the info...i researched that and you are correct if you have the Jawbone ICON....

However, any ideas how to use my JAWBONE 2, on my EVO so that it can play music straight to the JAWBONE 2?

Jawbone 2 will not do it. I've owned every Jawbone and only the ICON will do it (through the software you download from their website).

If your device supports it media will play automatically when connected. I have the jabra extreme and LOVE it! Just fyi in case you are in the market for a new one. :) It's got a designated on off switch and it's own volume buttons and....my favorite part the charging light changes color when charging red (dead) yellow (on its way) green (fully charged). It's the best bluetooth I've ever had! Got caught in a rainstorm (a really bad one) and forgot I was wearing it. Thought I might have drowned it but still works like the day I got it! But anyway... A2DP technology is the best! Nobody knows I'm jammin to my EVO playlist! Or listening to the game...or a movie!

I also use a Jawbone 2, love it, but that cannot be done as far as I know with it.

I am going to upgrade and purchase the Blueant T1. It supports that feature and has a few others like voice dialing etc.. I think it will be a nice replacement.

It even has an Android Application that enables the reading of text messages directly through the T1

The T1 also has an actual on/off switch which I am looking forward to. My Jawbone is always turning on in my bag, drives me nuts i:)i
They have them at the store here:

I hate to say it but I am going to get it from Another source for about $56. I would prefer to get it here to support the site but that is a $22 difference, that is a lot. i:)i

Edit: Thanks! Since you reminded me of this again, I placed my order, I even got free shipping.

nobody knows of an app to force all sound through the BT audio gateway like they did on WinMo??

I use a Motorola S305 and its been one of the best headsets i have ever used. I cant tell its BlueTooth untill i start to get about 30 feet away from my EVO.
Pretty much similar to the above posters headset, but i dont like the in ear style.

if you want somewhat decent sound, jabra halo works well, i also have the motorola's the halo's are better sounding and not "skip" like the motorola's

Motorola's are better for the Gym is thats what your looking for.

There is this tool that worked well on Windows Mobile , it is called BlueMusic and has been ported to Android OS recently. Music, podcasts and games, actually all sounds can be routed via a bluetooth connection even to a simple phone Headset.
