Bluetooth trouble on S9+

When I hit the power button on my galaxy s9+ to put my screen to sleep it disconnects my Bluetooth headset. I have forgotten and reconnect, turned off wifi, checked battery life and tried other headsets and it continues to do it and sometimes when I'm talking with a person via Bluetooth it disconnects. How can I stop these issues?
