Bluetooth volume memory?

On my previous S7, it remembered the volume setting for each bluetooth device... on my S10+, that is not happening now and I have to adjust each time. Is there a setting for this?

My S10P remembers the volume...but i have disable absolute volume ticked in developer options.

I had this happening in my car, but I turned on "dual audio" and off "media volume sync" in connections' bluetooth; advanced settings. It now retains the volume setting.
