Bluetooth weak between phone and buds

S10 connected to Galaxy Buds. If I have the phone in my backpocket and kneel down I will have some static and some comeplete breaks in connection (music no longer is heard through buds). If I stand up the music quickly comes back. With the phone in my back pocket if I put my hand over the phone the music will usually stop as well.

This seems like a pretty weak connection. Is this typical? Does bluetooth rely on line of sight?

Bluetooth does not rely on line of sight.

search for "Optimize battery usage" and ensure that your music player has battery optimization disabled.

So do you see your music app on that initial screen?

When you first open the "Optimize battery usage" it has a drop down that says "Apps not optimized".

If you want to check any app not on that list you need to select "All" from that drop down.

I just enabled them all (i thought that's what you suggested). Now it's quite a chore to disable them all.

Depends on the app and your desired battery life.

I said to select "All" on the menu so that you could see all of them. I said to disable optimization on the music app that you were trying to use. If the button is slid so that the highlight is OFF, optimization is off.

I'm getting pretty good battery life with battery optimizing disabled for all apps.

Yes that it why it is a feature.

Whatever works for you.
Personally, I only disable for apps that are having issues with running in the background.

Hmm, all of the options were toggled off on my phone.

It is typical.

Bluetooth is a fairly weak signal in general, and the human body (specifically the water in it) is incredibly good at blocking wireless signals.

Basically if your phone is directly under your arse and your earphones are in your ears the signal has to travel through about a metre of reasonably good radio insulation, which isn't easy. Also if the antenna is very close to your skin the radio waves are much more likely to be absorbed than reflected.

You can pull the notifications panel down long press location at very top says improve accuracy toggle bluetooth and wifi

That uses Bluetooth or WiFi devices to improve location accuracy and speed, it doesn't
make Bluetooth stronger.

Probably right , try it see any improvement wont hurt .
