Does anyone know if you can get audio through Bluetooth when you have a headset or aux cable plugged in? I use my phone to stream music through Play Play, and Pandora and Songza, etc., when I'm in my car. I also have my phone linked to the Bluetooth system in my car and whenever I receive calls I have to unplug my phone from the aux cable to hear the audio. I does anyone know a work around for this or something? I know I have the ability to do is in my car as I was able to do the same with my GNex and my ThunderBolt.

I use the car dock for the Samsung Infuse--fits the Galaxy S3 pretty good. To get the audio out of the dock connector and the phone out of the bluetooth you need to open your setting for the bluetooth headset you are using. There are checkboxes on where to direct the audio. Mine were both set to bluetooth so all audio came to the headset. When I changed the music to the phone output, it came out of the connector and the bluetooth just got the phone calls. Check under settings, bluetooth, paired devices and click on your device to see the options.

Yeah I finally caved and just purchased the dock from AT&T for only $19. I can get phone calls through the Bluetooth system in my car and still listen to any music programs I have on my phone. It's a little annoying that I can't use Bluetooth and have headphones plugged in at the same time...

Its a defect with the Galaxy S3.
Shouldn't have to buy an adapter. Almost every other phone out there will let you use bluetooth with the aux cable plugged in. They just screwed the pooch on the S3 on that issue.

Yes the did screw up on this one. I bought a BT streaming device called TuneLink. It plugs in to the cig adapter in the car and from the adapter to the aux port. Connects to the phone via BT media streaming. It works really well! I can then still connect my BT headset and make calls. The music pauses automatically when a call is placed or received.

I sure hope they fix this issue with the next OTA, but I will probably continue to use the TuneLink so I don't have to have any wires running to the phone.
