I have successfully paired my G4 with my Samsung Galaxy S3 and my Google Nexus 10 tablet, but the G4 will not connect with either. I've tried turning bluetooth off and on, on all devices, force stopped Bluetooth on the G4, cleared bluetooth data and cache on the G4, but I have never connected the G4 to anything.

Edit: I can connect the G4 to my Yamaha receiver.

My tablet connects to everything - phones, A/V receiver, laptop. But the G4 doesn't want to play. Bluetooth... Nice in theory, but often an exercise in frustration.

I'm running Android 6.0 on the G4.

Welcome to Android Central! Just curious--what are you trying to do while connected via Bluetooth? The main thing that I can think of when connecting two mobile devices together is Bluetooth file transfer--is that what your goal is?

I'm trying to use the tablet as the trusted device for the G4's smart lock feature. I've paired the G4 with the tablet, but I can't connect to it.

I've connected my GS3 with my wife's phone (Note) in the past, to transfer files, but I can't get this G4 to connect to another Android device.

Just tried with my wife's Note 4. It says I can't tether Bluetooth while connected to WiFi, but even when I turn WiFi off, I still can't connect to her Note. My phone just says ”Connecting”, but it stops immediately.

Try using another Bluetooth device like headphones or speakers. They will work fine.

Got it to work. I had to turn on Bluetooth tethering on the G4, then I could connect to my tablet.
