Having come from the G1, Desire, Optimus 3D and Galaxy Nexus, I've always used bluetooth headphones when running, if I move my arm (phone strapped to it) or my head then the signal would drop.
This is with 3 different sets of headphones and 4 different phones. I came to the conclusion that bluetooth headphones still had some way to go.
This morning I used my Nexus 4 for the first time on a run (damn you runkeeper for not working on 4.2.1!!) and the audio was perfect the whole way. Once I got to work I did a bit more testing and I couldn't get the audio to drop at all!

Very impressed with it in comparison to the past 4 years of phones!

I had this issue with my OG Evo back on sprint a few years ago. Yeah I'm pretty satisfied with the Bluetooth. Use it for both headset and car. Hasn't missed a beat.

I had random disconnects in the car with the GNex. The N4 has been flawless.

Part of the reason I think is that Google finally updated the Bluetooth stack to 4.0 in Android 4.2. The GNex and probably other phone had chip sets capable of supporting BT 4.0, but the software didn't support it until now. Whatever the magic, it's nice.
