Blurry wallpaper

What happens if you use a wallpaper that is predominantly dark? Just wondering if it the system might vary the shading dependent on how light or dark the wallpaper is.

I have tried every wallpaper, which are on phone already, which I downloaded from Google but all are same blurry

It's seeming more and more that this is just baked into the firmware. Unfortunately, I don't think 3rd party launchers can modify how the lockscreen looks (beyond changing the wallpaper).

No its Google thing and any phone that runs close to stock Andriod

I don't get that on my Pixel 3a XL (but then again, I'm using a live wallpaper that's generally dark).

EDIT: I just tried using a relatively bright wallpaper, and I still don't get that washed out effect with black text. It's still white text over the actual wallpaper.

I just thought of something for OP., go to settings>display>screen whats it set at ?
Vivid
Natural
Adaptive

Could it be that it happens only for image wallpapers, and not live wallpaper apps?
Would it be helpful if I suggest you a live wallpaper app that can show an image inside, without any blur?
