How is ICS going to work with the 4 buttons on physical buttons on the Bolt? Isn't ICS designed for 3 on screen buttons? Obviously the 4 buttons will be there on the Bolt... but how is that going to work?

Forgive me for not researchnig more thoroughly first, but are there currently any good/stable ICS roms out there? I'm on BAMF 1.10 right now (haven't updated to 1.11 yet) with the rezound battery and the kernal patch. It's been pretty great for a while so I don't want to mess with perfection - but I'm always itching to try something new.
Definetly doing it wrong then.

I hate to be the downer, but be very aware that there is a good possibility of some rather nasty bugs... Depending on how deep this update goes, it may require a kernel overhaul... the OTA update system is problematic at best when its just a simple patch, and this will be the biggest leap in Android functionality/interface... the 1.6 to 2.0 jump was not nearly this extensive.
Trust me when I say that while I am pleased with HTC's dedication, from a professional standpoint I do not relish the coming months...
I'm sure there will be bugs, but I am not afraid that they will be too hard to fix. I fear more for the first phones to get it, like the Rezound.

One benefit the Rezound has is that ICS was optimized for multi-core phones, so my main worry personally is that at its best the Thunderbolt/Rhyme/Incredible 2 will be slightly on the bogged down side. I, in no way, think it will be as bad as the alpha for the ICS ROM I saw flashed on a Motorola Droid A855 (it made me think of the speed of Windows 3.1.1, before the 386 processors).
While the Rezound will likely bear the brunt of bugs for both ICS and Sense 4.0, trust me when I say that unless the Rezound's bugs are extensively debilitating with Sense 4.0, the Thunderbolt will get the update a month or two following the Rezound.
I really, REALLY hope that HTC pushes the Thunderbolt's ICS update before its 1 year anniversary... I despised Samsung for pushing the update to the Fascinate 15 months after its launch, screwing many customers with OS failures after the update that had no extended warranty.
Good point about the warranty, didn't think about that. It's all the more reason I DON'T WANT ICS!!!! Leave my frickin phone alone! Grrrr.....My Thunderbolt is working so well at this point, I will take whatever measures are needed to stop/block ICS when it's released! I'll look for it on a new phone some where down the road!
To my knowledge, there are no "stable" roms out there. They all have issues with the radio and therefore can't connect to data, call, text... etc.
There are 3 different ones that I know of... I've been following Liquid's because I love Liquid 3.2. Obviously, once we get closer to an ICS release, I'd anticipate more ICS roms.
I am also pleased with HTC's dedication, and also their overall Sense product and ability to integrate it. I have confidence in HTC. We'll see.Trust me when I say that while I am pleased with HTC's dedication, from a professional standpoint I do not relish the coming months...
But ICS

Times change. Things move on. But you can rest assured that app developers will move with them. It's necessary to enable them to put food on their table ('cept for the hobbyist developersOn the other hand, will app developers be motivated to fix the compatability issues?
