Boost Mobile Kyocera Hydro stuck in a boot loop after changing fonts

Kyocera Hydro 4.0.4 (boost mobile version). After much research and trial and error, This phone is pretty much useless if caught in a bootloop. Unable to flash STOCK ROM, does not support fast boot or any other method of booting besides the original. factory reset several times with same outcome. Tried to access device though USB, enabled adb though pc, but that all that happens. Tried this as well, and got a different result. Hold power + vol down, wait till android shows, let go of power and continue to hold vol/down. android then tries to install recovery? Under recovery main screen that shows, reboot system now, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partion. It seem to have a argument installing/opening recovery. shown as follows:
g
E: Can't open/catche/recovery/log
E:failed to mount/cache (Invalid argument)
E:Can't mount/cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open cache/recovery/last log
E: failed to mount cache/recovery/last_install
E:Cannot load volume /misc!
E: failed to mount /cache (Invalid argument)

That is displayed on screen when let go power as android appears on recovery. I don't know if a recovery can happen unless its within the device it self. The possibility of creating a script on "SD card" to run at power up during this operation might bring a chance of a removable recovery, but is yet to be accomplished. If anyone else has any information regarding this that could be useful, please replay. -SethOsco-

I'm Putting a Bounty Out for the Kyocera Flash tool Starting at 2,000.00 Yes 2 grand 2 Thousand !! You heard right somebody in here has this flash tool or utility From either working for METRO PCS ,Cricket, AT&T, And or Boost And Sprint If you know how to Solve This Bootloop After Following XDA Forums guides on flashing but not giving a clue as to whats safe to remove and whats not and or What the outcome is for Factory reset causing Vibrate 1 sec bootloops with no chance to enter recovery with a backup on the SD Card. Cant ADB Fastboot or anything. I also want to point out this isn't a Bash or insult to the developer or person or persons who took the time to create the Recovery or root method I Thank you for this but I will Say this To: XDA JUST CAUSE THE PHONE ISN'T WHATS IN TREND... LIKE SAMSUNG OR LG OR NEXUS OR WHATEVER MAKE IS POPULAR AT THE TIME MONTH OR YEAR . THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO BUY PHONES THAT AREN'T POPULAR OR DONT HAVE MONEY TO THROW AROUND TO GET THESE PHONES YOU GUYS ARE ONLY FOCUSED ON ''AKA'' HIGH DOLLAR PHONES, WHICH MEANS THE SMALL GUYS SUFFER MEANING TRACFONES METRO PCS UNHEARD OF PHONES OR ANY OTHER BRANDS NOT LISTED THESE NEED TO BE ADDED AS WELL THE MORE WE WORK TOGETHER THE BETTER AND SMARTER WE'LL BE AND WILL BE ABLE TO PUT THESE BIG CORPS IN THEIR PLACE . Now Dont get me wrong or think I'm attacking XDA Cause I'm Not, Im Being The Voice For the Little Guys that suffer I got much respect for XDA They are GREAT Awesome People and a brilliant minded community. Gehot If your Out there Reply Or Chainfire!!

Sorry to revive a dead thread. I do have an idea, you would have to use githubdotcom/Sepero/bootbuddy Boot Buddy will allow you to run Linux shell scripts when your Android device is booting up. It will run your scripts early in the boot process, before the home screen appears. in theory you might be able to load recovery from sd card and bypass the security checks.

The intended audience is generally intermediate to advanced users, and those who want to play with shell scripting on their device. Using boot buddy, you have to have busy box installed and script manager. Using the basic scripts I was able to get
/dev/block/mmcblk0p12 /system ext4 rw,relatime,user_xattr,barrier=0,data=ordered 0 0

You have to run the boot buddy script prior to shutdown to load the scripts. If we can run scripts then we might be interested in the boot process. a wonderful slide can be found here slideshare.dotnet framework/chrissimmonds/android-bootslides20 depends on where in the boot process the checks are done. you would probably need to escalate the attack so we would need Kernel init.d Support Injector from 4um.xda-developersdotcom/showpost.php?p=40409356 think the best bet at this point would be to look at the ramdisk. furthermore most of what is on the device talks about qemu goldfish and a emulated environment or at least partially so you can find more info here android.googlesourcedotcom/platform/external/qemu/+/master/docs/GOLDFISH-VIRTUAL-HARDWARE.TXT so now that we have all that you can probably use this to make bootloader it's called u-boot informitdotcom/articles/article.aspx?p=2433499

I am not sure which Kyocera hydro you have there's 4 different versions. I can help you with resetting the phone.

I have the kyocera hydro life through metro pcs. I didn't modify or flash in any way. I haven't it used it for about a month now but the battery is at 80%. It loads the Android screen, the metro screen, and then the kyocera screen with sound. I have performed the hard reset by using power button and volume button. I reset to factory then chose the reboot button. It restarted but still won't go any further. I am now sitting here with battery out for around 10 min and about to try again. Do you have any advice?

Hi I just got a Kyocera Hydro and I rooted it and i installed rom toolbox lite by jrummy. After I did that, iI changed the boot animation and the fonts and it told me to reboot the phone, and I did. Then thats when it whent all downhill. It would show the hydro screen, boost mobile logo, then a black screen with the backlight keys on, then it wiuld turn off and it would repeat the whole proccess over and over again until I pull the battery. Ive also tried going into the stock recovery and clearing both the cacheand the whole system but nothing happens. Only the boot animation changed back. I also noticed that it only has 3 options
-reboot system now
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache partition
And at the botton of the screen it says three times
E:Cannot load volume /misc!
What do I do? I need help because I dont know how to flash the stock rom and when i search stock roms on google, it gives me results that are completely unrelated to what im searching(of course!) Thanks in regards or somthing.

Can you pass your backcup or your ROM? PLEASE!!!
