[Boot Animation] Nexus Prime

Im sure P3Droid would appreciate some credit..

I linked(It may not have been clear since I linked as preview,) to the site I got the original.
I am/was unaware of the person or site you are talking about. If you are positive they deserve credit please post a link as I do not have one.

Ok, Figured it out.
P3Droid@mydroidworld, which is the site linked to by the site I linked.
Sorry for the confusion.

I'll add a link. But what is the proper etiquette? I linked to a site the provided the information to me, and they linked to the site they obtained the information from.

How do you install this on the optimus? I get an error when trying to install the zip via recovery.

The only reason I said anything is the file is hosted at mediafire and the original was hosted at mydroidworld.

Normally its good to credit the person that created it with a link to them personally. Links to sites that link back to the original person give confusion. Also its good to put a disclaimer about not being responsible for what happens to the persons device and they are doing this on their own accord. Especially if your going to rehost it on another site.

@colonelcrack unzip the initial file. Then take the file marked bootanimation and copy it to your /system/media folder. The flashable zip doesnt work with all devices.

I can't delete/backup my original animation because root file manager says it's a read only file, do I have to run a chmod command in terminal?

This is where my linux classes would have paid off If I remembered anything...

The bootanimation's I post are not flashable, use an app like the bootanimation manager or adb.

One day I'll start posting instructions too, lol

@Eollie , Thanks I'll keep that in mind.

Check under the preferences and allow it to read/write system files. I'm not sure how you access it with root file manager but I use ES File Manager and I am able to put new boot animation and bootsound.
