Boot Loop Blues on a Time 2 10" tablet

I bought this apparent bargain about a month and a half ago. My 14 year old daughter uses it mainly. I came home last week to find that the charger was broken (again). Whilst trying to charge it using the good old universal adaptor, it started going into a boot loop, only loading the two starting animations. It doesn't matter what power source I use, whether i link it to a laptop, or even try to kickstart it with a USB stick-nuffin. I have tried factory reset and soft reset, but it still merrily loops its way through the startup animations. An even though it has been charging for at least 6 hours, when it is unplugged from the charger it does not even start up. Is an there any cunning way I can get it out of its rut?

If the device was new when purchased, and, you can return it, I would. Get a new one. If not, try posting here to get more members' eyes on it.
