Boot Loop

Hello, I was trying to install the Revolution theme that I saw earlier. Every time I flash the theme over CM6 RC1, I get constant boot loops upon restart. Any help?

Maybe it's not compatible. Did you do a NAND backup before you flashed the theme? If so maybe try a full wipe (factory, data, cache, dalvik) and flash CM6 clean (not your backup) then the theme and see what happens.

You did download the version for CM6 right?

It's made for the Evo . I did a full and utter wipe, did a backup of everything important. I wiped every cache I could find. I tried to apply the theme on top of a clean CM6 install. I did not install the sense version, only the CM6 one.

There is an email (iammanup456@gmail.com), I don't know if he will respond. I am going to try it again, this time I won't wipe any caches after I flash CM6. Another member here has it installed, and it's working fine for him.

That it does. I browsed the XDA thread on it, and saw another user had a boot loop issue. Maybe it's the theme, or there is something we are both doing wrong.

If it was the theme I would think a lot more people would be having the problem. That or not many people know about the theme. I would say it has something to do with the install procedure, but I don't run CM6 so I can't test.

It doesn't work with the RC2 or the latest nightlies. I had to flash the release version of CM6 in order for it to work. I can't see my clock, but other than that, it works. Thanks for your help.

I imagine it will get updated to the latest release candidates for cm6 eventually.
