In general, have Gingerbread updates for Galaxy S phones modified the bootloaders? I'm planning on installing Clockworkmod on my Captivate, but I'm afraid it will conflict with the Gingerbread update when it comes out. Thanks in advance

All the Gingerbread updates for the Galaxy S phones have installed new bootloaders. They don't lock down the phone more or anything like that, but if you modify your phone in any way, DO NOT accept the update for Gingerbread. It most likely won't work anyway, but it's better to flash completely back to stock Froyo and then update.
