"...downgrading". Yeah, okay.
Having owned and used both and actually having a frame of reference, I can assure you that the S10+ is an upgrade in every way other than the spen, which a lot of people don't even use. It was, hands down, the smoothest Android phone I have used to date. It made my Note 9 feel slow and gave my Pixel 3 XL a serious run for the money in the "responsiveness" department. Also, the wide-angle camera is a big upgrade.
If you are bored with a note, you'd be really bored with the s line. You have the better phone already. August isn't far off.I am curious would a 512gb Note9 be a fair trade for a 128gb S10+? If so would you trade your 512gb Note9 in for it why or why not?
I have already bought a screen protector and an OtterBox Defender Pro for the S10+, but every time I visit a local store and compare the two phones, I still wonder if I'd be missing out on the Note over the S10+. By the time I do end up purchasing an upgrade to my 6P, the S10+ will no doubt be cheaper, and the Note 9 cheaper still. Obviously, the Note 10 is going to be *WAY* out of my price range unless I wait until Spring 2020.
I've never owned a Note, so I don't know what it's like to miss the S-Pen. I consider myself a basic user, in that I don't do anything graphics intensive like gaming or benchmarking, and I only take point-and-shoot photos. All I really do is talk, text, stream my music with GPM, watch YouTube videos and visit Reddit and other forums. I probably wouldn't use the S-Pen all that often, but isn't it better to have the S-Pen and not use it, than to need it and not have it? It does seem like the better bang-for-your-buck buy.
The issue is I'd like to be as future-proof as possible. I'm not concerned about 5G at this point, since just like early 4G LTE, 5G will be a huge battery hog and be initially expensive to use the service. I plan to keep whatever I get for three years, until those kinks are worked out.
Since I'm a lighter user, I'm concerned with how much battery drain occurs per hour, as well as overnight when not in use. I know it's subjective, but I'd appreciate your feedback and experiences. Thanks in advance!

Dont encourage him lol

Just because you were deprived is no reason to be jealous. I'll send you my old box.
I was , I had only 12 crayons all the same color half broken lol
If you're bored, trade it....just not sure if the S10+ is the phone to trade for considering the similarities (aside from the S Pen). JMO, thinking you'll be bored with S10+ in no time. Sell the Note on Swappa and go off the deep end, get an LG, Pixel, etc.
I would not. The Note is a Note and the S series doesn't compete in the same ballpark. I use the S Pen daily so it's a no brainer for me.
I do switch from one theme to another when I get bored, or at least change the wallpaper and maybe the icons. A fresh look always seems to help.
I also don't think the hardware upgrades in the S10+ would be enough to make it worth the move.
I haven't really used my Note 9 since getting my S10+ in March. I'm not getting rid of the Note 9 because one day I may just decide to put my sim back in it but for now, I really like the S10+.
I think in all these months of owning the Note 9, I may have used the S Pen maybe 10 times and that's only to do screen caps. I don't draw and I don't take notes or write. The S10+ does smart select as well and that includes the only functions that I would use the S Pen for.
I'll still probably buy the Note 10 when it comes out because I always buy both phones each year.
