Bottom touch screen doesn't work

[Android Central Question]

Yooo so I bought xiaomi a2 lite it's an android one phone it works just fine until 2 days later I turned it on when suddenly my bottom buttons (back, home, and recent apps) don't response to my touch. Then I run a screen check app it shows that the lower part of the screen is so unresponsive. Can anyone help me pleaseee it's a new phone I'm ultimately so freaking sad.

P.S: no I didn't dropped my phone

Welcome to Android Central! Did you buy it brand new? If so, contact the seller and ask for a refund or exchange. Otherwise, contact Xiaomi for warranty repair/replacement.

Do you have Android pie installed. If gesture control is enabled it disables the bottom buttons.
System. Gestures. Swipe up on home (disable to get bottom buttons working)
