Bought a new unlocked LG V30 + today.

What apps would users recommend ?
How is the best way to block ads ?
How do I remove or hide the Facebook/Instagram icon ?

Which apps are a personal preference based on what you like to do.

Facebook and Facebook Messenger are often preinstalled bloatware. In that case you can only disable them and their update services.

Ditto for Instagram, but you might find it useful.

Ads are usually the result of adware being installed by mistake. Be careful of what you install and from where you install it.

1. I would seek out apps that have "dark mode" capabilities for battery life longevity.

2. Kiwi browser is a great browser for blocking advertisements.

3. There is a hide apps setting under homescreen sectionin options. Although personally I would uninstall or at least replace with the "lite" version.

I no longer own an LG device, but I'm pretty sure you can uninstall them. I've removed Facebook/Instagram from all my phones, even going back to my old G5.

Also, Opera block ads and is a great browser.
