Bought it!

lol. Droid-life.com already has one of those. :)

I hope the folks, who pick up the device at stores today, will be reporting a lot of good news throughout the day - can't wait.

I just got back from Verizon with this awesome phone. I'm a little overwhelmed as I'm coming from 6 years of Blackberry use.

Initial thoughts are great looking device, perfect size for me, really nice looking screen, really snappy usage with switching screens and windows etc. Right now I'm just trying to figure out adding my email accounts, downloading some apps and transferring all my pictures from the BB to this device, I'll have more later.

Awesome, Yuk!

When I switched from BB, I had to pull everything off my SD card then let the Droid Inc reformat the SD card before I could use it.

Ugh, I do not want to wait the week it is going to take for mine to get here, I am jealous guys!

I eagerly await everyone's thoughts! :)

Yeah just picked mine up too. The thing is, when you research the hell out of something before buying it, there aren't many surprises when you actually get it.

It's an awesome phone and it's definitely faster than my Droid. Anyway, couple of thoughts:

- The screen is fantastic. I was really impressed.
- Very snappy, no speed complaints whatsoever.
- Looks great, perfect size for me.
- For some reason the microUSB port is very tight. I struggled plugging in the cable that was bundled with it (and another cable I already had). Not exactly a problem per se, but an oddity.
- The camera is really good but I have yet to really test it out. The one thing I did do is put an object near it and an object far away and use the touch-to-focus on both objects and let me tell you - this works amazingly. Can't believe it. Stunning shots. I might post some later.
- Comes with a 16GB microSD card.

Can't think of anything else but if I do, I'll be sure to share it.

mturco,

We'd appreciate seeing some of the pics, when you have time. Would love to see how well the camera works - I hear it is better than the camera on the original DInc.

Thank you.

I picked it up as well and am now getting it up and running. Coming off an Eris so this is a pretty solid jump in performance.

Ok well here are the two focus shots I was talking about.

Focused on the glass.

Focused on the background.

Wow...yea, that's quite an upgrade. Having jumped from a BB Curve to an Inc, I kind of know how GOOD it feels. :) Congrats!

I've been able to keep the lil guy chugging along with rooting but sometimes you just get tired of the process, y'know?

Now I'm trying to get this up and running on htcsense.com but all I'm seeing are world phones like the S.

Yea, it's looking like the Inc2 won't be able to join htcsense.com. :( sucks.

Maybe a few hundred complaints to VZW will change that? hehe

Very nice! Do the bigger versions look about the same?

Yeah, pretty much. I mean they don't look great zoomed in, but it's a phone, you know?

Anyway, now we just need to get this thing rooted and it'll be perfect! :D

Edit: Tons of Verizon bloatware. And I'd even say some of the HTC software is bloatware, but that's just my opinion. For instance, I like the stock gallery a lot better than theirs, but I just downloaded that from the Market (Gallery 3D, if you're curious), so it's fine.

Boots up under 10 seconds, easily

Yeah, mine gets to the lockscreen within (no joke) 6-7 seconds and it goes from "No Service" to "Verizon Wireless" within 10 seconds. Amazing.

Edit: My Droid probably takes around a full minute to boot (which isn't actually that bad) but then takes another minute before the SD card is scanned and it is connected to wifi and whatnot.
