box around apps/icons

Does anyone know how to remove the box around each individual app/icon? I just upgraded my Verizon s9+ ro pie last night. I know this was an option with Oreo.

Icon frames? I don't see the option anymore.

neither do I. the only thing that I could find is to go into settings and then themes then click on icons where I only had one choice. there are plenty of choices to buy though.

This option was removed from Pie/One UI.
Very annoying!

Yeah, I looked for it, too! It does appear to have been removed. Very annoying, indeed!
