Hi,

My new Nexus 4 auto-reboots. The symptoms are:

1. This only happens when not connected to a PC.
2. When disconnected from PC, after 1-2 reboot cycles the phone will not auto-reboot until something is activated. Then, within a minute, it will freeze and auto-reboot.
3. Happens in safe mode as well.
4. Device has no SIM card yet (not sure why this would be relevant but noting all the same).

Factory reset using recovery mode did not help.
Also tried wipe cache (I get a short animation and then the device reboots).

Any further ideas would be much appreciated. Please keep in mind this is my first Android phone so not familiar with advanced options should these be necessary - happy to learn, though!

TIA,
okutner

i would send that back chop chop. when something like this happens right after buying make it their problem

Constantly rebooting when brand new? Yeah, send it back. Google should happily replace it for you. There are links/instructions on how to get an RMA on the Nexus 4 support site.

Oh man! Sorry. GRRR. Thats Sucks! I'm expecting mine today and hoping for a trouble-free experience. Send it back Pronto and have them replace.
