Brand new s9 and it did a system update yesterday now wants to do another one

[Android Central Question]

So I broke my old s9 and Verizon replaced it a day later. Then the next day my new s9 wants to do a system update. Woke up to my phone COMPLETELY CLEARED pictures are gone apps are gone I have to start COMPLETELY over. Woke up the morning to my phone wanting to do another system update. Anyone else have this problem? I'm nervous to do it in case it clears everything again.

Welcome to Android Central! System updates should never wipe the phone, so something went wrong. You may want to talk to Verizon about it to see if you need another replacement. Otherwise, make sure all of your important data is backed up somewhere, and see if the same thing happens again with the update.
