Hey!
Just got a tab 3 7.0 wifi and after setting it up there was a system update for "increased stability" or whatnot. So I ran it, and after reboot the device got a black screen with a few colored lines. I waited for a while and restarted it. All looked normal.
However, the keyboard was gone. Only voice input was left. Tried to download some other keyboard from play but error 110 on all apps.
Did what anyone would, factory reset.
Still no keyboard, hard to speak a wifi password ;-)
Made an unprotected network and got past that, then Google + crashed during setup. When finishing setup something like blablasetup has crashed and it starts over.
Sooooo I tried a factory reset from the boot menu (power volume homr) but nothing changed...
I'm going back to the store tomorrow to have it replaced unless someone knows something I've missed :-)
Wrote this just in case someone else gets the same problem.

If you can get it replaced then go that route. There might be ways to bring it back, but that will involve flashing software (if you can find it) to try and restore it. It'll be easier to just take it back and try and get a new one since it messed up during the update process.

EXACT same thing happened to me on the same day as you. WIth what appears to be the exact same consequences. With some trickery I was finally able to get into my regular wifi network and was able to setup the google account(probably one of the most annoying things I have ever done), but trying to download any keyboard app on google play resulted in a 406 error. Also tried to download a couple keyboard apps not from the marketplace, but it wont open or install the apk's.

EXACT same colored lines on the same day during a system update on my girlfriend's Galaxy Tab 3, but keyboard and wifi are fine. The only reason she noticed was that the play store gave a -110 error and would not allow installation of any apps. We did an (extremely annoying) factory reset. The thing is, this didn't fix the problem. Still the -110 error. So now the device has no apps AND can't download any apps. Please let me know if there is any solution.

Same problem here on my Tab 3 7.0 after upgrade, "-110" error trying to download or even update apps, factory reset to no avail, only had it 3 months - it's going back unless a solution is found.
