Hi I have a Kindle fire version 6.2.1 and used a utility to root it everything was working great and then yesterday I placed it on the charger and later when I returned to use it all it does is flash the word "Kindle fire". it is recognized on my usb drive as my F: drive. I tried running the utility again but now it doesn't see my kindle. I have also tried a unbrick utility that didn't see the kindle either. I tried the hard reset but that does nothing as well. I was wondering if there is a fix for this. I have a new Kindle fire coming from amazon as a warranty replacement but I know if I send this one back they will charge me due to the root. I am thinking of just keeping it and see if a fix comes along and I end up with two fires. any suggestions or opinions are appreciated.

yes nothing has worked although i am no computer expert i tried everything in my understanding of software fixes but doesn't mean they wont work due to my inexperience.

thanks for the reply

So your getting a new one due to you bricking it? Or you plan on paying for the replacement?

Have you tried to see if you need to reinstall the drivers? I was stuck in fastboot, could see it as a drive on my computer, and thought I bricked mine but I had to reinstall drivers and then use the KFU to go back to normal and everything is fine now.

@ itsrayray If you read all the way through my post you will get your question answered

@ millsk28 im pretty much computer dumb so i have know idea what you just said lol.

All i saw was, that u bricked it and are receiving a replacement. And that you were worried bout getting charged as u rooted to brick. :idk:
