yup, will put you on 2.3.320 though. You can then flashthe 2.3.340 system only sbf to bring you up to speed....crazy,,

untill a FULL 2.3.340 SBF comes out..

1.flash Full 2.3.320 SBF (rsdlite)
2.flash SYSTEM ONLY 2.3.340 SBF (rsdlite)
3 flash TBH patches....3 in total (bootstrap)

Makes you almost wish you where stock huh...

Thanks that is awsome news makes me feel so much safer flashing new roms and themes....not that I really want to switch from apex 1.3 stock theme.

Are there any differences between .320&.340. I'm a little lost about which one i should be running. I'm perfectly fine on .320 but my browser sucks... so I'm hoping that .340 will mask the problem

I am good shape now but am concerned if I brick my DX since I am on 2..3.340 and know that I can't use the old 2.2.315 sbf since my bootloader is now 30.04

You stated that to bring the phone back to life that one would need to:

1.flash Full 2.3.320 SBF (rsdlite)
2.flash SYSTEM ONLY 2.3.340 SBF (rsdlite)
3 flash TBH patches....3 in total (bootstrap)

Steps 1 and 2 are no problem since I have the files and RSDLite 4.8.

However, what patches do I need for Step 3 and is it necessary?

What if I just do steps 1 & 2--will that bring me back to stock and allow me to

A) get future OTA updates or
B) able to successfully install the new version of Apex or (what I have now) the new version of Fission 2.3.1? or
C) Reflash a current nandroid backup that I made a few hours ago using Clockwork mod?

I really appreciate your help.

Update:

I did some searching and found the link for the patches were referred to:

TBH Patches: 2.3.340-System, Baseband, 2.3.340-Kernel, Bootloader

Question though:

I already have:

1) Bootloader 30.04
2) Kernal 2.6.32.9-g55626e1
3) BP_C_1.09.07P Baseband (Radio File)

It is my understanding that these are the most current versions, so are the patches in Step 3 not necessary for me if I Brick my phone?

I am assuming that even if my phone is bricked, I will still keep the current bootloader, kernal, and baseband.

Will just doing:

1.flash Full 2.3.320 SBF (rsdlite)
2.flash SYSTEM ONLY 2.3.340 SBF essentially get me back to where I am since I am assuming again that the bootloader, kernal, and baseband will remain the same?

If that's the case, I should just be able to do 1 & 2 to get back to Motoblur stock and then reinstall a custom rom, clockwork backup, Titanium restore, MyBackup Pro, etc to get back to where I am.

Or, do steps 1 & 2 for when the next OTA update comes out.

Go into manage applications, all, gmail, and touch clear cache.

well i hate to say this but i had the same exact errors and did the system only 340 and no dice. no reboot, no recovery mode, nada. just goes right back to the bootloader with the same errors. booooo.

Remmy- What did you have before the crash If you didnt have the .340 i dont think it will work. I believe(tell me if i am wrong) it has to match what you had before the "brick".

Well, Thanks to all who helped me through this scary time. Ended up being a great thread with lots of info for those who have had or will have this issue.

MODS- if you would like, i will type this up and we could start a sticky on this. PM me and let me know how I would do that. Kind of new to this but always willing to help. Thanks.

hey dmartin, honestly i'm not sure what i had as far as sbf filename goes but i had the 2.2.1 update, so whatever that is.

Have you tried the .320 sbf file? May be what you are on but i am not sure. Is it rooted? Did you do an OTA update recently? Just thinking about what you might have had.

well i tried the .340 but ill also try the .320 file.

not rooted, i did update to the 2.2.1 release but not OTA, i downloaded it from the link here on android central and applied it through my SD card.

ill let you know how the 320 goes!
