Bricked Phones

My Phone Is Hard Bricked It Wont Come On The Only Thing It Does Is When I Plug It Up Is The Bottom Light Flashes Up Multiple Times Like Its Dead.... I Put A Custom Rom On It And The Tried Another One And The My Phone Just Shut Off Like The Screen Stays Black I Need Serious Help:'(:'(:'(

You're going to have to provide us a little bit of information if you really expect us to help. What ROMs did you put on it? What carrier is your phone on? Did you make sure the ROM you flashed was for you specific model of S3 and your carrier? What process did you follow for flashing the ROM?

See my post 2 above. I strongly suspect you flashed a ROM meant for a different model of S3. If that's the case, your phone is indeed hard bricked. Search this forum for JTAG, because the only way to fix it will be to send it off to a service that uses a JTAG device to restore it to factory state.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised. No one seems to want to spend any time studying before they do things any more. Just jump in and hope for the best. "What's the worst that could happen?" Well, the worst that can happen is you turn your expensive phone into a plastic door stop.

I think you posted this in another thread, and I said the same thing there: If you want us to help, you need to give us some information to work with. What ROMs did you flash? What method did you use to root? What recovery (TWRP, CWM?) are you using?

Without that information, we can only guess. My guess is that you flashed a ROM meant for a different version of the S3. ROMs are specific to the exact model and carrier, so if you flashed a ROM meant for (as just one example) the international version to a Sprint phone, then you've almost certainly bricked your phone. Search on the word JTAG, because sending your phone off to a service that can flash the correct ROM via a JTAG device is the only way to repair a hard-bricked phone.

Next time, READ, READ and READ some more to make sure you know what you're doing.

EDIT: I now see you didn't post in another thread, you posted the same request, and got the same answer, in this same thread. If you don't know what you did, you're completely out of luck. Non of us can magically figure out what you did to your phone, or examine it remotely. What do you expect us to do without any information at all?

I told you to search on JTAG: Let me google that for you

^^^^^^^ LOL, This should be made a sticky with the title "Must WATCH before posting for help.

Hello, I was trying to root my samsung s duos 3 (sm-g313hu) with kingoroot. but when itwas 37% rooted (as shown on kingoroot) it got stuck. I waited for a long time before disconnecting it from my pc. then i tried to reboot my phone but it only shows the device model name and a tiny (!) mark on top of the screen. I can go to recovery mode (power+home+vol.up). It shows "downloding do not turn off target. Is it totally bricked or is there anything i can do about it?
