It seems to me that the brightness of the lowest brightness setting went up after kit kat...or is it just me?

One thing that definitely isn't just me is the brightness of the nav buttons being different from time to time when holding the phone in landscape... either one or two buttons of the three buttons will be brighter and bolder.

There used to be one step below the lowest that auto would give you pre Kitkat but now auto's low seems the same as the absolute lowest before to my eyes, which is much appreciated to me.

Yeah there seems to be less of a difference between auto and least in the dark... But it also seems brighter and hurts my eyes

I noticed if I don't touch my phone for about a minute it decreases in brightness and that looks like the old low brightness setting...

That was the first thing I noticed wish they had left it alone it's been causing me to have less battery life since I would always have it set to the lowest

Are we seriously the only ones with these issues? Reading my phone at night has become unbearable this is awful.

Also different brightness on nav buttons 4.4 on moto x has been a janky laggy pos for me

Tried lux it's alright but didn't cover the on screen buttons. This was one of the reasons I kept the phone... I liked how dark the screen got. Motorola really butchered this update.
