Brightness and Auto-Dimming at Night

[Android Central Question]

I have a S9+ and am I the only one that picks up the phone at night and am completely blinded because it's too bright? Then I have to wait 5-10 seconds while the auto-brightness goes back down to low?

It seems like the phone keep sautomatically bumping the brightness way up at night-time when it's locked/off and then when you unlock it, it readjusts to be low brightness after 10 seconds or so.

Thanks for any help, super annoying but I can live with.

i have the blue light filter turned set to turn on with a schedule, usually about the time i get into bed until my alarm goes off. give it a try and see if that helps, because i haven't been blinded by a bright screen at night after waking up the phone
