Brightness control in notifications pulldown is missing

I used to have instant access to the screen brightness control from my notifications pulldown. But now it's missing. It went missing sometime in the last few days, probably after a restart or some inadvertent action on my part.

Is there a way/setting to have the brightness control show? Right now, it's about 5 clicks away -> settings/display/etc. I routinely reset the brightness throughout the day and I don't like the automatic brightness function, so it's become a hassle.
